Dr. Farida has been actively involved in establishing countless national, regional & international foundations & non-governmental organizations since the early 80's. She acquired her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Sociology (Social Planning and Development) in 1981 from Colorado State University. Dr. Farida has worked closely as an advisor on human development, policy formulations, strategic planning, fundraising, networking & capacity building issues to several United Nations agencies. She was also the Director of the Women & Children department at the Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development Organization (AGFUND), as well as the CEO of Mentor International.
