HM The Queen Silvia of Sweden, President of the Mentor Foundation

Mentor Arabia is part of the global network of regional and national chapters of the Mentor Foundation, an international non-governmental organization with the mission to prevent drug misuse and to promote the health and well-being of children and young people in the world.

Founded in 1994, the Swiss-registered and UK-based Mentor Foundation was created by Her Majesty The Queen Silvia of Sweden. Its Board of Trustees includes such dignitaries as His Royal Highness Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan, His Royal Highness The Grand Duke Henry of Luxembourg and Her Royal Highness The Grand Duchess María Teresa of Luxembourg.

The Mentor Foundation implements educational, cultural, informative and training projects and programs in cooperation with such organizations as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), governmental institutions, civil society organizations and the private sector to prevent youth from falling into the destructive drug trap.
