Mentor Arabia was born from the recommendations of the scientific workshop, “For an Effective Prevention against Drug Misuse”, which was held in December 2004 in Dubai in partnership with the Dubai Police.

After the workshop’s Follow-Up Committee for the establishment of Mentor Arabia completed its work, Mentor Arabia was officially launched in April 2006 from Dubai, with a regional office established in Beirut.

November 2005
Mentor Arabia’s Follow-Up Committee meets in Cairo to further evaluate the foundational mechanics of Mentor Arabia.

April 2006
Mentor Arabia is officially launched from Dubai at a press conference which also saw the introduction of the organization’s mission statement. 

September 2006
The Board of Trustees holds its foundation meeting in Beirut and adopts Mentor Arabia’s drug-prevention strategy.

April 2007
The Board of Trustees meets in Kuwait City and adopts the operational work plan for the year 2007.
